POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Project Management, East Coast reports to the Founders. The Director of Project Management manages all of the East Coast PM teams and provides guidance with their projects. The Director of Project Management is also responsible for their own projects. It is the responsibility of the Director of Project Management to ensure every person on their team has the skill, support, and structure to execute every job efficiently and with integrity. As the Director of Project Management, your responsibilities will include:


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct weekly team meetings to convey project status and plans

  • Attend major client meetings with Project Manager (ie. kick-off meetings)

  • Attend handoff meeting from Sales/Estimating 

  • Manage schedules of team members 

  • Track financial progress/data

  • Responsible for overall project success with Project Managers

    • Pre-planning, punchlist, and billing

    • Process education, training

    • Addressing client issues and destination for escalation

    • Resource for PM’s and Junior PM’s

  • Responsible for the day-to-day tasks for projects including production and installation

  • Perform quality assurance checks on materials for samples & installs

  • Place items into production

  • Liaise with clients during site surveys: answering inquiries and addressing any concerns

  • Adhere to strict project schedules; identify and address roadblocks that could affect deadlines

  • Coordinate site visits with clients, ensuring that all logistics have been addressed prior to visiting a job site

  • Coordinate scheduling of materials and labor for each project, verifying each job is staffed appropriately and all necessary materials are available


ABOUT YOU

  • A minimum of 10 years project management or similar field experience

  • A minimum of 8 years of management experience

  • Strong leadership skills 

  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage time and multiple priorities effectively while working in a highly collaborative environment

  • Ability to read design intent documents and construction plans

  • Experience with project management tools, preferably Asana/Smartsheets/Zoho

  • Ability to work and think independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines

  • Ability to interact well with a wide range of people and personalities of all levels within and outside drive21

  • Proficient in G Suite

  • Strong attention to detail, exceedingly well-organized, and technologically savvy

  • A true team player, no ego’s here

  • Willingness to be flexible and roll up your sleeves (both literally and figuratively) to do what is needed to get the job done
