POSITION OVERVIEW

The Preflight Print Specialist reports to the Creative Director. The Preflight Print Specialist works closely with Project Managers to review client supplied artwork to ensure all required information is provided and documented properly. This position ensures artwork is organized, clear and conforms to all standards prior to being submitted for production.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs first review of client supplied artwork checking for required fonts, colors, sizing, resolution and other requirements before they are released to production vendors

  • Format, color correct and manipulate files to resolve issues

  • Identify missing, inconsistent or problematic components and troubleshoot/communicate to Project Manager

  • Assist Project Manager with production work order writeups and correspondence

  • Successfully prioritizes assignments and manages appropriate timelines and deliverables with attention to detail

  • Proactively identifies areas of improvement and suggests solutions to optimize workflows

ABOUT YOU

  • 2 years Graphic Design experience or equivalent role in a setting with a focus on print design, environmental graphics, or signage fabrication

  • Knowledge of design/layout/image/color editing, printing process and print file preparation

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and elevations

  • Ability to work and think independently, take initiative, adapt to changing priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines

  • Ability to interact well with a wide range of people of all levels within and outside drive21

  • Proficient in Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign), G Suite; Asana is a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail, exceedingly well-organized, and technologically savvy

  • A true team player, no ego’s here

  • Willingness to be flexible and roll up your sleeves (both literally and figuratively) to do what is needed to get the job done
